NOTE

1. Not much info for accurately placing this find. Going by the map in Simpson and Janko [2011], fig. 2 on p. 102, these tombs should be on the west side of the road but the language in op. cit., 106, '19A. Peristeri: Solakoi' describes several chamber tombs. A) One destroyed in road building, B) another quite close and discovered at the same time, and C) another discovered later and specifically on the 'west' side of the new road. D) another CT discovered in the area. I take this to mean that A) and B) were on the east side of the road while C was on the west. The house that was built on the wreckage of C) might be F1500. The marker indicates tombs A and B by the cliff edge on the east side of the road. Banou [1996] appears to be describing a chamber tomb closer or just to the south of, the modern cemetery at 36.874228 N, 22.676221 E. I think that I would prefer Simpson and Janko [2011] and their sources in turn (Themos) to Banou for this particular set of chamber tombs.
