NOTE

1. Simpson [1981] 169 describes the site thus: 'About 3 km. northwest of Neai Karyai is an acropolis hill named Sarliki, steep on the north side and surrounded by ravines.' Simpson and Dickinson [1979] 289 say 'Sarliki is an acropolis with a steep N side, and surrounded by ravines, c. 3 km. NW of Neai Karyai.'

They are both in error. Sarliki hill lies to the SOUTH-west of Neai Karyai. For more information on Sarliki hill see this at DEFC or this at IGEAN where it is called 'Nees Karyes 1'.
