1. For additional reading: Mee, C. 1978: Aegean Trade and Settlement in Anatolia in the Second Millenium B.C., Anatolian Studies 28, 121-156. Desborough [1964] 161 says that there is one sherd from Larisa that can be identified as Mycenaean. Simpson [1981], 209 says that 'Only one certainly Mycenaean sherd was found in the Larisa excavations'. But in Luwian Studies (http://luwianstudies.org/sites/larisa-am-hermos/) I read this: 'No Greek pottery was found predating 800 BCE.' This sounds like it means that no prehistoric Greek pottery was found here. But it could just mean that no post-Mycenaean Greek pottery was found predating the Greek conquest in the 8th C. The Luwianstudies site and Desborough both refer to Boehlau and Schefold, Larisa am Hermos; Ergebnisse der Ausgrabungen, iii, Berlin, 1942. Desborough's exact cite is "Larisa, iii, pl. 57, upper left."
