1. With respect to the location of the site Wace and Thompson [1912] 204 say "The second site explored lies north-west of the village and about half an hour from it among the vineyards on the land of Piperi-Yiannakopulos ... " Simpson picks this up and we read (Simpson [1981] 79, 'C 59') that the site is about 1.5 km. northwest of Elateia village. I have placed the site notionally to the NW of Elateia.

2. Note Dr. Phialon's statement about Wace and Thompson's dating; Phialon [2011] 63, footnote 232: " ... attribuent les tessons mycéniens au MR II et au MR III, ce qui correspond à l'HR II et l'HR III."
