1.  Dor et al. [1960] and Simpson [1981], 'C 55' give little locational information. The marked hill obeys all the constraints but the reader should use this location with caution.

2.  My translation of Dor [1960] 20: "Kastrouli is a height on the right bank of the Pleistos above Delphi. One of us carried out a brief investigation in 1936 in order to learn about some large MH cist tombs and remains of late Mycenaean constructions which are on the escarpments which dominate the river. The grave goods were particularly poor and despite our desire to attribute an ancient name to the site, we still hesitate to follow E. Kirsten who proposes to identify it with Homer's Anemoreia."
