3. The text of Dugas [1921] 403, fn. 1 reads in whole:
'(1) C. Ridgeway, Early age of the Grece (sic), I, p. 29, 117, qui, malgré son désir de prouver l'importance du mycénien en Arcadie, ne trouve a signaler qu'une gemme découverte a Phigalie (Milchhöfer. Anf. der Kunst, p. 54).',
'C. Ridgeway, Early Age of Greece, I, p. 29, 117, who, despite his desire to demonstrate the significance of the Mycenaean in Arcadia, can produce nothing more than a gem discovered at Phigaleia (Milchhöfer, Anf. der Kunst, p. 54).'
4. In 1875 Helbig reported a gem-stone in the Rousopoulos collection in Athens that was said to have come from ancient Phigaleia.
