NOTE

1.  Hammond [1967] 274 mentions another site just about 270 m. to the N of this. He says 'To the north of this site and on the right bank of the Vijose, opposite the monastery of Molivdhoskepastos, a large mound under cultivation has a number of sherds on its slopes. I was unable to determine the date of the site; it is, however, of a type more suitable for occupation in the prehistoric period than in the classical period.' I make its position to be here: 40.066002 N, 20.590037 E. There are swords from Mesogephyra which Hammond [1967] describes on p. 318, items A. and B. Site contributed by Professor Sarah Murray, University of Toronto.
