1. EH II: (2700 BC - 2200 BC)
2. Middle Helladic: (2000 BC - 1600 BC)
b. Boyd [2001]: 154, ' ...: the mounds are middle Helladic constructions but no further precision is possible.'
3. Middle Helladic II: (1900 BC - 1700 BC)
a. Boyd [2001]: 154, 'Without any detail or context Howell (1992, 76) affirms that MHII pottery is present in the tumuli of Roútsi: presumably it is to the three pots placed at the "entrance" to the horseshoe-shaped pit that he refers.'
4. Late Helladic: (1700 BC - 1050 BC)
NOTES
1. Boyd [2001] 154 refers to Howell. This is R. Howell, 'The Middle Helladic Settlement: Pottery', in McDonald and Wilkie [1992] 43-204.
What Howell says (p. 76) is ' ..., there is MH II pottery from the tiny island of Nisakouli ... which is near Methoni and from the tumuli at Ayios Ioannis: Papoulia & Routsi: Myrsinochori. The pottery from these sites shows great similarity with that from MHII Nichoria.'
2. Placed partly in agreement with the photograph in Boyd [2001] 156, Fig. A1.27.1 which clearly depicts the shelter.
