PERIOD (High Chronology)

1. EH: (3100 BC - 2000 BC)
    a.    Messenia III: 130, 'EH and MH pottery is now reported in the same area as the LH cemetery.'

2. Middle Helladic: (2000 BC - 1600 BC)
    a.    Messenia III: 130, 'EH and MH pottery is now reported in the same area as the LH cemetery.'

3. LH IIIA: (1410 BC - 1315 BC)
    a.    Messenia I: 229, 'The contents of the tombs are dated in LH III A-B, which agrees with the tomb architecture.'

4. LH IIIB: (1320 BC - 1190 BC)
    a.    Messenia I: 229, 'Sherds from the immediate area are from LH III B kylixes and kraters.'

NOTES

1. In Messenia I, 229 the authors say 'References to a habitation site at or near Kania seem to be in error.' By 1969, in Messenia III 130, they had modified their views.
