TYPE

1. Tholos. Zavadil [2012], 516 'Reinigungsarbeiten zeigten, daß der Einsturz durch eine Tholos verursacht worden war, die beim Bau der Straße 1964 bereits teilweise zerstört worden war.'

PERIOD (High Chronology)

1. Late Helladic II: (1635 BC - 1410 BC)
a. Zavadil [2012]: 516, 'Einziger Hinweis für eine chronologische Einordnung des Grabes ist der in SH II datierte Henkel eines Bronzegefäßes.'

NOTE

1. The question is whether this site is 280 m. along the road towards Raches (Boyd [2001] 168) or 280 m directly W of the Peristeria fenced area. This small tholos was mostly destroyed during road construction in 1964 and would have been further damaged when it caused a collapse of the road during some rains in 1989. Recently researchers have had trouble locating it and it is not clear to me whether anyone has securely established its location. I have followed Dr. Boyd by placing it 280 m. along the road to the SW from the fenced area.
