NOTES
1. The location of this site is not certainly known to me (RHC). It is above the spring of Pentelis according to Nowicki [2000], p. 58, '10. Chandras Plakalona'. Also Faure [1962] 39 says of the hill Plakalona that it '...domine les sources du Pentelis, ...'. There is a sign at F3576 which says 'Panteli' and which, I presume, points to the spring. The spring itself must be located near F3577 and Topoguide shows an intermittent stream starting in that position. This would make Plakalona the hill just to the SW which is where I have placed the marker.
2. Site contributed by Professor Sarah Murray, University of Toronto, Canada.
3. Nowicki [2000] 58 says that the site is '... 40 minutes' walk south-west of Chandras.' It is just the opposite. The town is south-west of Plakalona hill.
