TYPE

1.    Artifacts.   Hood et al. [1964], 78    '..., we noted traces of occupation, with a square stone pounder, and a few worn sherds; ...'
2.    Tholos.   Kanta [1997],     'A possible overground tholos tomb was situated near the Kampos location which is 200 m to the north-east of Sopatakia.' Sopatakia is C1696.

PERIOD (High Chronology)

1. Early Minoan: (3100 BC - 2200 BC)
    a.    Hood et al. [1964]: 78, '...; some of these with a red burnished surface may have been E.M., ...'

2. Middle Minoan: (2100 BC - 1675 BC)
    a.    Hood et al. [1964]: 78, '..., but others were certainly M.M. or later.'

NOTE

1. It is not clear whether Kanta's 'Kampos location' is the same place which Hood et al. [1964] call 'Khalepa'. They both answer to the same locational description which is about 200 m. to the NE of the Sopatakia tomb (C1696).
