NOTES
1. This marker is somewhat fancifully placed. Pendlebury [1939] 263 mentions that it is '... from the hill to the right of the road beyond Partheni Metokhi, ...' The modern town of Partheni is F4594. With your back to Partheni and facing E you see a hill which may be what Sjögren means by 'Klisidhi hill'. I have assumed the truth of this and placed the marker somewhat to the west (right) of the ascending road. Sjögren wants the site to be ' ... c. 5 km southwest of the modern village of Astritsi' (F3936) and my suggested placement roughly corresponds to that.
2. Pendlebury [1939] 342 mentions that the sherds on this hill were '... seen by T. J. Dunbabin, 1937.'
