    a.    Luwian Studies [nd]: , 'Periods: BYZ, C, HL, LBA, R', It is uncertain why Zangger gives this the label 'LBA'. Perhaps because it is thought to have been mentioned in Hittite documents.

NOTES

1.  Zangger says (op. cit.): 'Thus far no prehistoric material has been identified at this site, but its environmental setting - on a route between Stratonikeia and Aphrodisias - argues in favour of a prehistoric predecessor.'
