NOTE

1.  The directions are difficult to reconcile with modern realities. Wiseman [1977] 47, no. 3, speaks of 'the railway station at the canal'. There appears to be no trace of it because that part of the railroad is no longer in use. I have placed the marker on a hill in the named area of Aspro Chomata. There are hills to the south which may be those of which Ålin says 'sowie auf 2 anderen, kleineren Hügeln südlich davon fand Gebauer Spuren von fruh- bis späthelladischer Besiedlung.' Perhaps. I have given the radius of uncertainty as 300 m which seems appropriate for this area.
