NOTES
1. The site of 'Plaka' (the origin site of the two stone jars) is said to be 'near Poieëssa'. I have placed the marker on the ancient acropolis of Poieëssa because Plaka's location is not known to me. Conceivably it is the same as the modern hamlet of 'Plagia' which is at 37.607535° 24.296413°, about 2230 m. distant.
2. These two vessels can be seen in the top row of photographs of Plate 77 in Caskey [1972].
