NOTE

1. This Neolithic/EH settlement was located on the top of the Zagani hill which is directly to the north of the new Athens airport "El. Venizelos" and directly in line with it. As the hill itself was a potential safety hazard for aircraft it was decided to lower part of the hill by 40 m. The part to be removed included the settlement. Before it was destroyed archaeological work was carried out as documented in Alram-Stern and other places. Part of this salvage work included the creation of precise photogrammetric models of the area as documented here.
