TYPE

1.    Artifacts.   Tod [1903], 343    'Besides pottery the only small objects found were (1) a small leaden or silver bead, pierced, cylindrical in shape but pinched in the middle, and (2) a fragment of an article in bone, '053 m. in length, resembling in form the end of a pocket paper-knife.'
2.    Cem.   Nowicki [2014], 242    ' ..., was the place where cave burials of EM I early date were excavated at the beginning of the twentieth century.'
3.    Cem.   Tod [1903], 339    ' ...: of these I examined three ('small shelters', rhc), which were pointed out to me by inhabitants of the valley as containing 'human heads.''
4.    Pottery.   Nowicki [2014], 242    ' ...frequent EM I pottery, ... '
5.    Pottery.   Tod [1903], 340    ' ..., were found some very early vases, ... '

1. Early Bronze Age: (3200 BC - 2100 BC)
    a.    Tod [1903]: 340, 'Along with the bones, placed close by the skulls, were found some very early vases, which must be attributed to the very beginning of the Bronze Age.'

2. Early Minoan I: (3100 BC - 2650 BC)
    a.    Nowicki [2014]: 242, ' ... frequent EM I pottery, ... '

1. This point is meant to be representative of this area where several recesses with human bones and artifacts were found.
