1. Artifacts. Simpson and Dickinson [1979], 250 ' ..., and it is perhaps from one of these that the genuine elements of the famous "Thisbe Treasure" (JHS loc.cit.) were looted ... . The goods in the "Treasure", apart from the rings, appear genuine, and likely to be of LH IIIA-B date.'2. Cem. Simpson and Dickinson [1979], 250 'Other tombs were noted to NW of the village, near Palaiokastro, ... '
3. Cem. Farinetti [2011 AI10], 6 'near Palaiokastro hill, (HS&D 1979) other tombs (apart from the rock-cut ones reported by Heurtley 1923/25 and others) have been noticed.'

NOTE
1. Of this chamber tomb cemetery Ålin [1962] 124 says "Aus derselben Nekropole wird ein Schatzfund, bestehend aus Bronzewaffen, Goldringen und Siegeln, vermutet." This refers to a famous Minoan gold treasure discovered in 1915 and described in Evans [1925]. Farinetti, ibid., also mentions it when she describes Component GC_28: " ... about half a mile NW of Kakosi-Thisvi village, near Palaiokastro hill, ... other tombs (apart from the rock-cut ones reported by Heurtley 1923/25 and others) have been noticed. Perhaps from here came the genuine elements of the so-called 'Thisbe Treasure' ... "
