NOTES

1.  Page numbers in Renfrew [2011] are, in actuality, location numbers in the electronic edition, ISBN 978-1-78570-773-5.

2.  This position (37.000482° N, 25.398274° E) is derived as a compromise between two points A and B. Point A is derived from Renfrew's [2011] coordinates for Kastraki (Kindle position 11385, no. 13, M.A.P.: C7155).  The coordinates for Kastraki are given as 783295; those for Polichni as 795285. This indicates that, measuring from Kastraki, Polichni is 1200 m E of K. and 1000 m. S.

Point B is derived from Renfrew's coordinates for Spilaio tou Zas (Kindle position 11436, no. 36, M.A.P.: C6739) whose coordinates are given as 885320. This indicates that, measuring from Zas, Polichni is 9000 m W of Spilaio tou Zas and 3500 m S. The two points so computed are about 238 m. apart (A: 36.999645° N, 25.397498° E, and B: 37.001371° N, 25.399067° E).  The final position given here is the point half-way between them.
